Fitness Expert


Background

I’ve been a fitness expert, presenter, group fitness teacher, personal training consultant, nutrition expert (gut health, mental health and adrenal fatigue as my specialty), and wellness advisor since 1994. I continue to invest in current education as I evolve, learn and develop cutting edge health and wellness training and education programs. In addition I thrive on teaching a variety of group fitness classes in the Gig Harbor area.
My light-hearted, realistic, and results-oriented approach to incorporate well-being into everyday life, has trained hundreds of fitness leaders to be effective and helped thousands of clients improve the quality of their life, break free from emotional dis-ease, and attain lifelong health and wellness goals. 
My work has included key positions with major national and international organizations such as The U.S. Navy, American Specialty Health, Star Trac Fitness Equipment manufacturer, 24-hour Fitness, LA Fitness, Pure Fitness, hundreds of national and international fitness facilities, American Specialty Health, Zumba, Spinning, and Yogafit.  
Experience working with: 
  • athletes for sport specific goals
  • older populations to offset aging
  • special populations to enhance quality of life
  • clients struggling with obesity, anorexia and disordered eating
  • clients using movement to offset depression and anxiety

Credentials
  • Certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) 
  • The Aquatics Exercise Association (AEA) 
  • American Fitness and Aerobics Association (AFAA)
  • The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
  • Older Adult Group Fitness (Silver Sneakers and developer of Silver&Fit a National Older Adult Wellness Program 
  • CPR and AED trained 
  • Yogafit RYT 200 hour Level Five Training.
  • Member of the Yogafit Medical Advisory Board
  • Writer and Consultant for YogaFit
